From left: Dr. Panagopoulous with wound care nurse Roxann Louden, RN, display just a few of the different treatments utilized for those at the St. John Wound Care Center.Chronic non-healing wounds are not only painful, but they may also lead to infection, loss of function and activity or even amputation. A wound that won’t heal can have a tremendous impact on a person’s life. At the St. John Wound Care Center, we provide comprehensive, outpatient wound care to patients with acute and chronic wounds in order to promote healing and improve quality of life.

Our specialized staff approaches wound treatment by talking with each patient about a variety of health and lifestyle factors that can affect wound healing. These can include: nutrition, pain, pressure reduction, circulation, education, behaviors and risks, as well as assistance with care. We can refer to or collaborate with appropriate services as needed to reach the best potential outcome for our patients. Our staff  is experienced in caring for patients with multiple health problems and we will examine underlying medical conditions and their affect on healing.

Using advanced wound care products and state of the art limb salvage interventions, our goal is to improve the patients quality of life.
