Pediatric Surgery at St. John HospitalPediatric surgeons affiliated with St. John Hospital and Medical Center accept referrals for evaluation, diagnosis and management of common as well as rare or complex surgical conditions from birth to 18 years of age. Pediatric inpatients recover in our 52-bed inpatient Pediatric unit. For children who will be staying with us for an extended period of time, Child Life coordinators, who are certified teachers, help kids keep up with their homework, enjoy play time and generally ease the stress and isolation that can result from a chronic illness and extended hospital stay. The Pediatric unit also has a playroom, library and a large collection of toys, video games and state-of-the-art computers for both structured and unstructured activities.
