Teen H.Y.P.E is a youth development program that provides teens with leadership opportunities through peer education. Peer educators use theatrical presentations that include skits, spoken word, dance and rap/vocal to explore social issues related to teens. Peer educators also plan and participate in service learning projects through out the year.

Application Process
The first step to participating in the Teen HYPE program is to fill out the application.
The purpose of this application is to collect some basic information about you and to get a sense of your interest and skills as well as your motivation for joining the program. Please take time to answer the questions as truthfully and completely as possible.
Once we review your application you may be called in for a group interview and/or audition. During the interview you will be asked questions about your leadership abilities, talents, special skills and your interest in the program. If you possess fine arts talent we will ask you to audition. The interview is intended to get to know you better. Please do not be nervous. We want to see your REAL personality shine through.
In return, if accepted we ask that you make a one year commitment to the program. This includes attending scheduled trainings, rehearsals, workshops, events and community service. It is also required that your parent/guardian volunteer a minimum of 10 hours over the course of one year.
