Meet Our Webber Cancer Center Medical Directors

Allen Stawis, MD, is Medical Director of Hematology/Oncology of the Webber Cancer Center.
Dr. Stawis is a graduate of the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed his Hematology/Oncology training at the University of Michigan Medical Center. He is board-certified in both specialties and has been in private practice for 24 years, the last 10 on staff at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center. Dr. Stawis also holds a Michigan State University teaching appointment as associate clinical professor of medicine.
He currently is principal investigator for St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center, to the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium and he served as a medical oncology consultant for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.
Paul Chuba, MD, is Medical Director for Radiation Oncology at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital Macomb Center’s Webber Cancer Center. He received his graduate and medical education at Wayne State University and was a resident at both St. John Hospital and Medical Center and the Detroit Medical Center before joining the St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center, staff in January 2000. He completed a pre-doctor fellowship at the University of Munster (Germany) and post-doctoral work at the University of Freiburg (Germany). He is presently a clinical assistant professor at Wayne State University and the Medical College of Ohio.
Dr. Chuba is active in clinical cancer research and has published widely in the areas of prostate cancer and breast cancer radiation therapy. He has also authored and co-authored a number of professional articles and text chapters in the field of radiation oncology.
He is president-elect of the Michigan Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (MISTRO).
