Henry Oh MD Dr. Henry Oh is the Director of the Transplant Program. He is a graduate of Yon Sei University College of Medicine in Seoul, South Korea and completed his internship and surgical residency at St. Luke Hospital and Henry Ford Hospital. He is a board-certified surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of Academy of Surgery of Detroit, American Medical Association, American Society of Transplant Surgeons, American Society of Transplantation, Detroit Surgical Association, Gift of Life Michigan (GOL) By-Laws Committee, GOL Governing Board, GOL Liver & Pancreas Committee, GOL Long Range Planning Committee, GOL Scientific Studies Committee, Korean American Medical Association, Michigan Chapter of American College of Surgeons, Michigan Kidney Foundation, Roy D. McClure Society, and Wayne County Medical Society. His special interests include kidney and pancreas transplantation.
Dr. Darla Granger is a Transplant Surgeon. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, where she also completed her surgical residency and training in transplantation. She is a board-certified surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is a member of the Academy of Surgery of Detroit, American Medical Association, American Society of Transplant Surgeons Standards Committee, American Society of Transplantation, Association of Academic Surgeons, International Pediatric Transplant Association, The International Transplantation Society, Minnesota Surgical Residents Society, Transplant Infection Society, and on the Gift of Life Michigan (GOL) Advisory Board. She has a particular interest in pediatric and pancreas transplantation, as well as new immunosuppressive medications for kidney transplantation. She has spoken all over the world on the topics of composite tissue allotransplantation and new immunosuppressive medications.
Robert Provenzano, MD Dr. Robert Provenzano is the medical director of the transplant program at St. John Hospital and Medical Center, program director of the Nephrology Fellowship, and vice-chair of the Department of Nephrology. He is a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit and completed his internship and residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. His fellowship in nephrology was completed at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Provenzano is a diplomate (board certified) in internal medicine and nephrology. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and an associate professor of clinical medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He remains active in nephrology and transplant societies and was recently elected president of the Great Lakes Transplant Society. He is a board member of the Renal Physician Association and president of its Michigan chapter. The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan has elected him president of its Scientific Advisory Board. He is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Transplantation. Dr. Provenzano's special interests include diabetes, hypertension, glomerular diseases and kidney and pancreas transplantation.
Keith Bellovich, MD Dr. Keith Bellovich is a transplant nephrologist. He is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Bellovich completed his residency and fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. His special interests include glomerular diseases, kidney stones and hypertension.
Dr. Mohamed El-Ghoroury is a transplant nephrologist. He is a graduate of Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. Dr. El-Ghoroury completed his internal medicine residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center and his nephrology and transplant fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. He is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. Dr. El-Ghoroury’s special interests include immediate– and long-term post operative management of kidney transplant recipients.
Abdelkader (Abd) Hawasli, MD Dr. Hawasli is the director of laparo-endoscopic surgery at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. He is a graduate of Damascus University School of Medicine in Syria. He completed his internship and residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Hawasli is board certified in general surgery. His special interests include endocrine, breast and abdominal surgery, as well as laparoscopic surgery -- notably, laparoscopic live-donor nephrectomy. |
