TLC is a group of volunteers who have all NICU babies or Special Care Nursery babies and are now offering support to families who currently have babies in Neonatal Intensive Care.
How can TLC help me?
Trained listeners
When you choose TLC support, you're matched with a trained volunteer whose NICU baby had similar health problems. After you have ben matched, you TLC volunteer will provide support to you by telephone or e-mail.
Graduate Parent Meetings
You're invited to attend weekly meetings on Thursdays while your baby is in Neonatal Intensive Care. A TLC volunteer and unit representative are available to discuss you concerns about your hospitalized infant. This is a great opportunity to speak with other parents who currently have babies in the NICU and to parents who have "been there" and can offer support and advice.
Family Lending Library
A library, located in the parent lounge, of informational and inspirational books is available for family members to borrow.
Bedside Visitation
Volunteers offer support and advice to parents each week on Tuesday.
