Leading Heart Care by Every Measure
St. John Hospital and Medical Center is a nationally recognized leader in cardiovascular care. Our cardiac staff includes some of the nation’s most respected cardiovascular physicians and expert nursing staff. Together, over the past 30 years, we have built our name on innovative treatment techniques, comprehensive prevention programs and compassionate care.
Leading in Advanced Procedures
We have been among the leaders in the state in advanced research and procedures including coronary and carotid stenting, “beating heart” surgery for high-risk patients, laser surgery for coronary bypass procedures, biventricular pacemakers for heart failure, advanced techniques and devices for heart rhythm abnormalities, and even radiation treatment for coronary heart disease complications.
We are committed to remaining a leader in heart care, and are shaping future care and programs today through our extensive ongoing research in the causes and reversal of cardiac disease.
Leading by Teaching
St. John Hospital is also an acclaimed teaching institution for graduate medical education. Our program includes both general and interventional cardiology fellowships. In addition, St. John physicians have taken a leading role in training our peers, and currently teach physicians from other major hospitals many of the latest procedures.
