Currently on the St. John Providence Park Hospital campus - at Grand River and Beck Road in Novi - there is a large medical center with six inpatient beds as well as the award winning Assarian Cancer Center.  These facilities are adjacent to the new hospital that is currently under construction.  The new hospital is scheduled to be open in July of 2008.

A large Medical Office Building (MOB) and Neuroscience Institute, an Orthopedic Center with an Ambulatory Surgical Center as well as a hotel and complimenting retail area will begin construction soon to the west/northwest of the current hospital construction site.  The MOB and Ambulatory Surgical Center are scheduled to open in 2007, as well as the hotel and the retail area.

Square Footage:

• Upcoming hospital: 500,000 sq. ft.
• Existing medical center: 250,000 sq. ft.
• New Medical Office Building and Neuroscience Institute: 210,000 sq. ft.
• New Orthopedic Center including an Ambulatory Surgical Center:  60,000 sq. ft.
• Hotel: 108 rooms

Inpatient beds:

• The upcoming hospital will be built with 200 beds and initially have capacity for an additional 68.
• Currently on campus there are 6 inpatient beds.

Physicians:

• Once complete, the new campus will have an estimated 300 physicians.  This number includes the existing medical center as well as the upcoming hospital, MOB and Ambulatory Surgical Center.
• Currently at the medical center there are 150 physicians in 37 specialties.

Associates/Employees:

• Currently on campus there are over 400 persons employed.
• The opening of the new hospital, MOB, Ambulatory Surgical Center, hotel and retail area will bring approximately 1000 additional employees to the campus.

Operating Rooms:

• The new hospital will house eight OR's with shell space for two additional.
• In addition, there will be four Invasive Procedure Rooms for catheterization,  electrophysiology, and bi-plane procedures.
• Also upcoming, there will be a Surgical and Procedural Skills Education Center - a specialized training laboratory where surgeons and other physicians can practice complex surgical and interventional procedures.
• There are four OR's at the current medical center.
