St. John North Shores Hospital is a 63-bed hospital that specializes in comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as low acuity medical inpatient services.
We provide acute inpatient rehabilitation services for those patients who are medically stable but need intense rehabilitation in order to maximize their independence and return to the most independent level of function they are able to achieve. This means up to three hours of therapy per day, which can include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services.
After discharge from this level of care, St. John North Shores Hospital is also able to provide full service Outpatient Rehabilitation care and is specially equipped with state-of-the-art neurorehabilitation equipment thanks to a recent grant from the Federal Government.
Our staff is trained in a multitude of specialty areas we offer programs to meet a wide variety of needs. Referrals can also be made to many of our affiliated St. John Outpatient Rehabilitation Satellites in the area if they are more convenient.
