Endoscopic Brain Surgery and Skull Base Program

Tumors that were once thought to be inoperable because of their location in hard-to-reach areas of the head are now being safely removed by St. John Health System specialists.

Due to the collection of major nerves, blood vessels and other structures, St. John Health System employs a multi-disciplinary approach using the latest techniques and technology through the widely recognized Skull Base Program. Specialists including otorhinolaryngologists, neurosurgeons, neuro-ophthalmologists, neuro-oncologists and radiation oncologists, carefully coordinate your care and treatment for the best possible outcome.

Striving to meet the difficult demands of treating disorders in this sensitive area, experienced St. John Health System surgeons use highly specialized surgical techniques, sophisticated intraoperative monitoring equipment, and minimally invasive surgical instruments to expose the hard-to-reach areas in their entirety without disturbing surrounding critical neurovascular structures with the goal of preserving normal neurologic and facial function without the need for facial incisions.
