Nancy Satmary is currently the Nurse Manager of the St. John Transplant Specialty Center, where she oversees the administrative duties of the transplant program as well as the education and follow-up care of kidney and pancreas transplant recipients. She has more than 25 years of experience in the field of transplantation. She is a Registered Nurse and a Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Oakland University and her Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration at Siena Heights University. She is an active member of the American Board of Transplant Coordinators, Transplant Management Group, International Transplant Nurses Society, and Gift of Life Michigan (GOL) Advisory Board.

She has a strong background in medical-surgical nursing from years of working on a nephrology/transplant floor. Her special interest is in working with recipients for transplantation and maintaining the candidate the waitlist.

She completed her Bachelors of Science in General Dietetics at Madonna University and her dietetic internship at Henry Ford Hospital. Her special interests include kidney and pancreas transplants, pre- and post-weight loss classes, bariatric surgery, and individualized diet plans.

Tonya Melton is a Transplant Nephrology Nurse Practitioner/Post-Transplant Coordinator with St. Clair Specialty Physicians. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and her Masters of Science from University of Michigan. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and in Nephrology. Her experience includes cardiac medicine, transplantation, trauma, GI, and vascular surgery. She is a member of American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Nephrology Nurses Association, American Society of Nephrology, American Society of Transplantation, International Transplant Nurses Society, Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners, National Kidney Foundation, and Sigma Theta Tau.
