New Patients
As a new patient you will receive a packet of information through the mail prior to your first visit. In it you will find:
We ask that you bring this completed information to your first visit. If you have had an electroencephalogram or imaging test (MRI or CT scan) of your head or neck within the past two or three years, please bring a copy of the report to your appointment.
Your first visit will last approximately one hour. You are welcome to bring a family member or friend for support. Information regarding types of headaches, triggers, and treatments will be available. The physician director will review your history and perform a complete neurological exam.
Tests
Treatment options will be discussed and prescribed accordingly. Laboratory tests are usually required. These can be done at the Institute. You may require a CT scan, MRI, MRA, EEG, or sleep study. If deemed appropriate, they will be ordered by the physician director. These exams need to be scheduled and would be done after your initial visit. We can assist you in scheduling these tests if necessary.

Acute Care Services
During the Institute's regular hours, patients may receive non-narcotic intra-muscular or IV medications to help break very severe headaches. Patients must be established patients at the Institute to receive this service (within the guideline coverage of their specific insurance plan). Patients must call the office before arriving.
