CareLink Senior Membership Program

Are you "55 or better?" If so, we have a special invitation just for you. Join CareLink, a free resource throughout St. John Health. CareLink provides networked benefits and discounts throughout six St. John health hospitals, including St. John Oakland Hospital (SJOH).

CareLink at St. John Oakland Hospital (SJOH)

CareLink Education Program — Join us weekly through the academic year for Tai Chi classes offered at both an introductory and intermediate level. Reduced rates for CareLink members. Through the summer, we offer free health care lectures the first Wednesday of each month.

Lunch with the Doctor Program — Join us monthly on the third Wednesday from 11:45 a.m. for lunch (cost - $5 or $4 for CareLink members) and a health-related lecture from Noon to 1 p.m. A variety of topics are offered specifically for those "55 or better". (No program held in December). The lecture is free.

CareLink Discounts and Benefits — CareLink members enjoy over 60 discounts throughout the CareLink membership network.

CareLink Coordinator — Sue Davis, 248-967-7721, is your on-site resource for older adult-related questions and concerns at SJOH.

Senior Speakers' Bureau Listings — Health care professionals are available to speak to older adult groups of 15 or more about a variety of health and wellness topics.

Oakland Cruisers Mall Walking Program — Walking is an easy and ideal exercise! Pick up membership application and mileage cards at Universal Mall (located at 12 Mile and Dequindre Roads in Warren). Record the miles you walk, either at the mall or in your own neighborhood, to earn incentive prizes. Prizes are awarded twice a year. Healthcare lectures are also offered twice a year. Volunteers are located at the information desk every Wednesday from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Early morning mall entry is located at the southeast entrance by Value City.

Volunteer Opportunities — Volunteering is good medicine! SJOH offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities throughout the hospital including opportunities with CareLink, Gift Shop, patient visiting, clerical, information desk and more.
